RICHMOND, Va. — Kevin Harvick proves he and the № 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford team are peaking at the right time, following up on last week’s win at Michigan with another win tonight in Richmond. The win moves Harvick up to P7 in the GFT NASCAR AI Driver Rankings with Chase Elliott remaining in firm control of P1. There was no change in the top 6 rankings with Elliott, Chastain, Larson, Blaney, Logano, and Bell all unchanged in the AI rankings. Denny Hamlin also continues to move up, now at P10 with another solid finish.

With 2 races remaining in the regular season (Walkins Glen and Daytona), Ryan Blaney is trying to hold on in the top 16 and remain Cup Playoff eligible on points, but a new winner could change everything. Martin Truex Jr is now on the outside looking in, knowing his 7th place finish at Richmond was likely his best shot at scoring a win and locking in a playoff spot. Elliott’s 4 wins so far this season along with his 5 stage wins equates to a sizable 116 point lead and a high likelihood that he will officially win the regular season championship this Sunday at Walkins Glen.

Manufacturers Box Score:
Chevrolet = 14 wins
Ford = 10 wins
Toyota = 5 wins
Hendrick Motorsports leads all teams with 8 wins.

Who will get into the playoffs?
Is Truex Jr. now completely out? Will there by a 16th race winner knocking Blaney out? Will Chase Elliott bring his road race A game to “The Glen” and lock up the regular season title?
