Nashville Superspeedway — No change at the top of the GFT NASCAR AI Driver Rankings after Chase Elliott wins the ALLY 400 at the Nashville Superspeedway in a rain delayed, drama filled battle in Lebanon, Tenn. With the win, his 2nd of the season, Elliott strengthens his points lead in the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series standings. Elliott is now at 586, Ross Chastain is P2 556, and Ryan Blaney P3 at 555.
However, Elliott’s lead in our GFT AI Driver Ranking model is only 7 points over Chastain in P2, and 12 points over Joey Logano who sits P3 in our rankings.
Big Movers
Ryan Blaney jumps 2 spots to P4, but the surprise was Kevin Harvick jumps 4 spots to P13. Losing ground was Kyle Busch, William Byron, Chase Briscoe, and a tough 4 position drop for Tyler Reddick.
“I’m so proud of our team,” Elliott said. “We had a setback about halfway, but we were able to get the NAPA Chevy dialed back in and get back in the mix. It was a long day, a fun day… I’m so proud of our team. We’ve had a pretty rough month, month and a half. It’s just nice to get back going in the right direction.
“Getting a win is always huge. To do it in a really cool city like Nashville is even better. I’m looking forward to that guitar (trophy).”
