Verstappen Wins Saudi Arabia GP, Expands lead in the GFT AI Driver Rankings

JEDDAH, SAUDI ARABIA — Max Verstappen dominated the Round 2 of the F1 calendar- Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, clinching a comfortable victory for Red Bull Racing. The win, Verstappen’s 2nd in 2 races, establishes a significant lead in the driver’s championship. Verstappen’s teammate, Sergio Perez, completed a perfect one-two finish for Red Bull, further solidifying the team’s position at the top of the constructor standings.

Ferrari also had a strong showing, with Charles Leclerc securing a strong third place. The race marked a significant milestone for young driver Oliver Bearman, who made an impressive debut for Ferrari and managed to earn points for the team.

While Red Bull and Ferrari enjoyed a successful race, Mercedes faced continued challenges. Lewis Hamilton, a 7x F1 World Champion, could only manage a ninth-place finish for the team. This result only compounds Mercedes may need to refine their car’s performance to compete with the dominant Red Bulls.
