Round 19 F1 GFT AI Driver Rankings: Max Verstappen now with 13 wins after COTA victory

AUSTIN, TEXAS Circuit of the Americas — Qualifying P2 and benefiting from a Lap 1, Turn 1 incident that ended pole position driver Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) day early, Max Verstappen drove his Red Bull to victory, but not without some late race drama that gave the 400,000 fans what they came to see.
Verstappen had a comfortable lead through the first 2/3rds of the race, but a bad air gun caused a 13 second pit stop allowing Charels Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton to pass. But Verstappen, showing great patience, set up for and passed Leclerc with ease. Then after a number of thrilling laps battling Hamilton, Verstappen passed the Mercedes for the lead with seven laps remaining before clinching his 13th victory of the season.
With his 5th place finish, George Russell moves up one spot in F1 GFT AI Driver Rankings, with Carlos Sainz falling to P5 after his 20th place disaster at COTA.
