Round 11 F1 GFT AI Driver Rankings: Verstappen Wins Silverstone, McLaren outperforms Ferrari and Mercedes

SILVERSTONE, UK — The grid once again had nothing for Max Verstappen. He won the Bristish GP at the Silverstone Circuit to claim his 8th victory of 2023 and the Red Bull Racing driver’s 6th straight. His Red Bull Racing teammate Sergio Perez had another difficult qualifying, but fought his way through the field to finish 6th. The big news of the GP was the strong performance of McLaren with Lando Norris finishing P2 and teammate Oscar Piastri finishing P4. 7x F1 Champion Lewis Hamilton was P3 adding to the British fan frenzy with fellow Brit Norris. Another Brit hero, George Russell, finished P5.

What happened to Ferrari?
Poor strategy and poor handling led to a difficult day for Ferrari drivers, with Charles Leclerc finishing 9th and Carlos Sainz 10th. All in all a frankly embarrassing day for the once dominant team.

American F1 fans saw Logan Sargent drive to a career best F1 finish of P11 at Silverstone. Willams teammate Albon finished P8. Yes, P8 ahead of both Ferraris.
