FORT WORTH, TX — Joey Logano wins the Wurth 400 at Texas Motor Speedway in another NASCAR overtime finish, bringing the Texas fans to their feet as Team Penske restarted the overtime segment 1–2 with Logano and Blaney on row 1. Behind the Penske Ford’s were Chastain, Jones, Larson, and Suarez.
Ross Chastain wound up second in the №1 Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet while Ryan Blaney placed third, Kyle Larson fourth and Erik Jones 5th.
12 caution flags for crashes ultimately took 1/4 of the field out of the race by the end, and ultimately extended the race four laps past its scheduled distance.
It was Joey Logano’s first win of the NASCAR Cup Series season and 37th win of his Cup Series career. He led just seven of the 271 laps in the №22 Team Penske Ford, taking the lead with a bold move on the backstretch past Michael McDowell to notch his second win at Texas Motor Speedway
With 5 laps to go, McDowell crashes, setting up the overtime finale. Once positions were confirmed by NASCAR, the restart order was set: Logano, Blaney, Chastain, Jones, Larson, and Suarez. But it was Logano who nailed the restart and drove away from Blaney and Chastain to secure the win.
OVERTIME Finish (unofficial):
P1 Logano

The Cup Series’ next race comes on another 1.5-mile oval, as the circuit heads to Kansas Speedway for Sunday’s AdventHealth 400 (3 p.m. ET, FS1, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
