Denny Hamlin Fastest in Pocono Cup Qualifying, Earns pole for Great American Getaway 400

BLAKESLEE, PA — Denny Hamlin won the Pole Award for The Great American Getaway 400 Presented by VISITPA.COM with a lap of 52.144 seconds, 172.599 mph.

This is Hamlins 45th pole in 702 NASCAR Cup Series races, his first pole and ninth top-10 start in 2025 and his fifth pole in 36 races at Pocono Raceway.

After Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin secured the Busch Light Pole, all that’s left to do is drop the green flag for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway (2 p.m. ET, Prime Video, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio). See where your favorite driver will start at the “Tricky Triangle.”

Chris Buescher (second) posted his ninth top-10 start of 2025 and his third in 16 races at Pocono Raceway.

Carson Hocevar (third) posted his first top-10 start at Pocono Raceway. It is his fifth in 17 races this season.

Shane Van Gisbergen (23rd) was the fastest qualifying rookie.
