LAS VEGAS, NV — Christopher Bell wins the Busch Pole Award for Sunday’s South Point 400 NASCAR Playoff race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Bell drove his №20 Rheem Toyota to a blistering 185.344 mph for a lap time of 29.135 to capture his 13th career pole, 3rd pole of 2024, and 3rd pole here at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Bell has never won a Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway but has two top 5 and four top 10 finishes.
Responding to a question by Jeff Gluck of the Athletic on “quietly performing very well”, Bell responded: I’ve been asked this about 18 times today. So, you know, I don’t care, like I just don’t care. You know, I’m going to do my deal, whether I’m in the headlines or I’m not headlines, and I’m going to be frustrated whenever I lose, and I’m going to be happy whenever I win, no matter what the headlines say. So I don’t care if you guys talk about me or not, I’m going to try my hardest to win the race, and that’s that.”
