DARLINGTON, SC — The drought is over for Brad Keselowski, RFK Racing, and Ford with Sunday’s victory in the Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway. Keselowski’s victory ends a streak of 110 races without a win for Brad and marks the first trip to Victory Lane of the 2024 season for RFK Racing and Ford with the Dark Horse Mustang in the NASCAR Cup Series.
An epic battle …
On Lap 284, Tyler Reddick was in a fierce battle for the lead against RFK Racing’s Chris Buescher when Reddick lost the nose and slid up track into Buescher’s №17 Ford, forcing it into the wall of Turn 4. Both cars were damaged and immediately fell off the pace, opening the door for Keselowski to take the lead on Lap 285 and hold the lead for 8 laps to the finish. Keselowski finished 1.214 seconds ahead of 2nd place Ty Gibbs.
Stage Points Keep Larson P1 in Driver Points and GFT Rankings
A crash at lap 252 ended Kyle Larson’s day at Darlington, but not before he took his 6th place starting spot, fast Hendrick Motorsports ZL-1 Camaro, and his love of “riding the wall” at Darlington to win Stage 1 and place 5th in Stage 2. Those stage points helped Larson overcome his 34th place finish (DNF) enabling him to remain the NASCAR Cup Series points leader and P1 in the Go Full Throttle AI Driver Rankings.
