The Go Full Throttle AI engines have been churning through all the available data. Last year was tough for our algorithms with so little data available on the Gen 7 car, but now we have a full season in our data lake (finish, laps lead, wins, top 5s, top 10s, poles won, playoff points, stage wins, stage points, etc) and our GFT AI RANKING and GFT AI RACE PREDICTION models will have a much higher accuracy rate … theoretically!

Today we are releasing our 2023 NASCAR AI “Pre-Season” Driver Rankings where 2022 NASCAR Cup Champion Joey Logano is, no surprise, the top ranked driver as we head into The Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum this weekend in LA. Logano had 5 wins last season (including The Clash) as did our 2nd ranked driver Chase Elliott. Coming in as our 3rd ranked driver is Christopher Bell who earned 3 wins last season, followed by Ross Chastain (P4), Kyle Larson (P5), William Byron (P6), Denny Hamlin (P7), Kyle Busch (P8), Tyler Reddick (P9), and Alex Bowman (P10).

The Clash at the Coliseum kicks off the 2023 season
“It’s kind of indicative of that going into 2023 — our 75th anniversary — with the uniqueness of the L.A. Coliseum for the Clash and then the Chicago Grant Park race because it all signals, yeah, we’ve been doing this for 75 years, but one of the ways we figured out how to do it for 75 years was to stay fresh and current,” said NASCAR executive Mike Helton.

Go Full Throttle will be at the LA Coliseum for The Clash for Practice and Qualifying on Saturday Feb 4 and for all the racing on Sunday Feb 5.
